Boulder County Comprehensive Plan:  Section ER 4.03

The Boulder County Comprehensive Plan and attendant regulations shall be formulated to insure that proposed land uses, including structures, shall be compatible with the ecosystem of critical wildlife habitats and not pose immediate and potential detrimental impacts to such habitats.

Below are excerpts of a letter and above, three pictures sent to County planners from one of our group.  Thank you!

"I want to give you three more reasons for not pursuing the trail.  I was out yesterday taking pictures and realized that a future trail will definitely impact the environment.  The owl was right next to the road, the snake was in the middle of the road and the osprey not far from the road.  I relocated the snake because it was "business rush hour" of bikers.

It took how many years to reintroduce osprey and see the burrowing owl again.  The death of many bull snakes is going to be a given.  If all this doesn't matter then I've nothing to say anymore.  Thank you for reading."
